Anyone had a chance to try out the new boards in either the carbon or special carbon options? The cruiser in 9'5 Special Carbon looks interesting.

Usually anything Bill creates is pretty damned good - only thing with carbon is for farks sake stay away from anything rocky that could chip or hole it

I've heard they snap easy as well but there's a few guys down here that have them and love them. If you can get your hands on the old Surftech Tolhurst 9'1 then grab it. Unreal board for a popout.

Very true smh ..The BT109 in Surftech is a very good all round board..and they're bringing a premium if you can find one...I live in Billy T territory and can't remember any snaps of Tollys.

Personally I think Bill makes his boards as HP boards..not everyone cup of (Billy) Tea

The new boards he's having made (Thunderbolt) apparently go great..
Here's the BT109.

On the money mate - only have to look at Bills Diamond T Ingleby for the proof of the design traits , rate Bill pretty highly

Cheers for the replies. I'm really torn between trying the 9'5 Tolhurst Special Carbon Cruiser to give this 'new technology' a go or to go with a board I've always been interested in and get the Noosa 66'.

The only other small influence is that I am fortunate that I have a short walk to my local, so the lighter Tolhurst has a slight edge in the wuss department.
