While this is happening about 300m from your front door....oh yeah its looks like it will keep happening everyday until Sunday

Perfect beachies this week with offshores and sunshine and I'm on the injured list as well.
Doing a bottom turn on Monday I felt my ligaments in my knee go.
I may go for a prone ride on one of my fish tomorrow just to get in the water and ride some waves.

Hope this does not hurt too much Tux but its pumping here today. The 6'10" has been getting a solid workout. Some big breaths and heart stopping moments were experienced today. Got a couple of real floggings.

I wish you good luck in recovery. My ankle recon was 4yrs ago and the effing thing still gives me trouble - ie I cannot drive a manual car in traffic or it just flares up. And FYI - I did it surfing - got caught up in the lip doing a back-hand reo and my ankle rolled with the board...

All the best.

My sympathies tux. I require an ankle recon and the surgeon told me to put it off as long as possible as he could relieve the pain but I may lose some function. It's what has moved me from high performance short boards to single fin mid-lengths and longboards as the forehand bottom turn and reos have me wincing. On the plus side, when I did it I was contemplating a booger so happy to avoid that.

I hope you make a fantastic recovery. And as far as how to deal with pumping surf, I guess be grateful you have the view. Wish I could stare at that.

Tux, the surf has been OK, but not exceptional... A bit stormy, sections to contend with, and a bit windy...

I think Swellnet gave it 8/10 this morning... For my money it was closer to 6/10.... Sometimes they rate it 5/10, and I'd give it 8/10... Oh well, who cares!

If it's any consolation the reefs around these parts can be tortuous
