I think we have been here before with What Beer Are You Drinking?, but that's probably long dead.
I still like Coopers Sparkling, but had a life change about two years ago and pretty much gave up alcohol before it killed me.
I discovered Mornington Peninsula Alcohol Free Pale Ale and XPA, which is what I drink daily now.
But Coopers Sparkling is still the best!
Well done Nozza, lifestyle changes are NOT EASY! ..Since getting Poly Myalgia,8 months ago ,and having to go on steroid meds for 12 months I have not had a drop of alcohol, not missing it at all as I was Avery light drinker any way.Like most of us just getting older, but still very focused on getting in the water as much as possible
I should probably take a leaf out of Nozza and justaddwater's book. But I'm on the Heineken today (wish it was brewed in the Netherlands, but this is the Oz version, still not too bad) and the deal on my receipt is for a six pack of Coopers Pale Ale for $14. So I'll mix and match tomorrow and postpone the health kick til Monday at the earliest.
Drinking a bock right now.... but have really gotten into the alcohol free beers in the last year. While there's some ****e on the markret, there's some damn drinkable alc free beers.
I've also discovered something I never thought I would go near - light or midstrength beer.
I have tasted quite a few acceptable mid strengths, but am always looking for a stronger taste and more flavour.
The Dark Light by Barrabool Brewery in Geelong I would happily drink instead of anything else if it was more widely available.
If you are in the area here it is - www.cockiesbeer.com.au/the-beer/30-cockies-the-dark-light-2
Speaking of Mids, I can be a beer snob at the best (worst?) of times. I can't even think of the last time I bought any Lorry Boys (coles brand?) beer..... Until their recent Hazy Pale Mid. A really, really tasty midstrength.
What a question. I'm a bit of a beer snob as well. So, here is some drink for thought....
Old Speckled Hen - English Bitter - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Speckled_Hen
Shepherd Neame 1698 Kentish Strong Ale.
Theakston's Old Peculier - Old Ale.
If you're into the spirits.
Parrot Uncaged Gin - Navy strength on the rocks.
Edge of the World - Wild Mist Gin - on the rocks.
Or a Chocolate Negroni
Equal parts of your favourite Gin, Campari and Sweet Vermouth, with a dash of Creme de Cacao and orange bitters. Shaken in ice and strained over a large ice cube. Garnish with a charred orange rind.
Salut!
Dam it's MR how re you mate?
MR's arrival has raised the room's IQ by 30%. But Macaha, what are YOU drinking? It's your bloomin' thread.

Oh I just started the thread to help kick start the room. Oh ok still enjoy my stone and wood.
Still enjoy a gentle ol' Corona lager now and then. Just got to hunt down the brewed in Mexico ones as most of them are coming from China now. Might have to try some of MichaelR's recommendations too. And if the president likes Stone and Wood then that's good enough for me.

Everything is tickety Marty. Some good surf here lately, and a week away at Crescent in May was bliss. Had a couple of three hour sessions at Scott's Head and a day at Plomer on Grace.... Got my week's sorted. Working three days, surfing 5 and playing golf on Fridays...
