I don't really want a log cos I avoid crowds and therefore very rarely get those nice little slider on the points. I normally want something a bit more versatile for the beach breaks.... But if (when) I win tomorrow night's Oz Lotto, I'd join General Jas's Creative Army - with whatever dimensions Josh C recommended for my 87kg (should be 82kg) ageing frame:
Something like this Seahorse model (stylish, old school and simple - just like me ):

"The Seahorse, is a stylish old skool, single fin longboard. This board is about forgetting about today’s crazy surfboard designs and getting back to the simpler times and shapes. It has a full template, low rocker and soft rails. Made for endless nose rides and fluid turns. Its low rocker will get you through those hard to make sections and soft rails are easily re-set to get in the sweet spot. It works well in small to mid-size waves in clean faces. A blast from the past that any longboard surfer will enjoy in their quiver! Stats - sizes- 9’1 to 10’1 Tail shape- chop square tail Rocker- traditional Fin set up- single Wave size- flat-3 feet"

My ideal log dimension would be around 5 to 7 inches long and maybe 3/4 inch diameter.

Any bigger than that and they hurt my bum'ol

I'll try to get a pic for you

Yeah, 9'6 x 23 x 3... Classic Log Dimensions...
For taller, or heavier people, can think along the lines of 9'9 x 23 x 3 (23+ x 3+)...
For really weak waves, upscale again!
