Your not missing much, the surfing is pretty below average. Surf was better the day you surfed here...But the music is awesome

Classic - just watched it now. Enjoyed the tracks Looked very flat, weak and full. Not a good recipe for a fun surf. I see your goofy foot efforts are coming along well. Need to give that a crack myself one day soon.

Cheers mate...yeah tides high mid morning at the moment, it has been fun though. Especially that Tuesday with just one other friend out...not sure I'd be switchfooting those Indo barrels you've been surfing

Looks super fun dude... My Soloshot is outta action as I lost my tag on a monster wipeout that somehow broke the arm band...

Damn dude, spewing...I was looking at newies recently coz the nodes on mine were getting pretty bad. But I found a good rust converter which got it sorted. Seems like they're only selling a new band on their site now, wondering if its compatible with the soloshot1.

So have you got some footage to share with us mate Would love to see it

You can see from your vid what a fun longboard wave that place is Mick. Nice clean long walls.

Yep great place for the LB Captain

Hey Pup those fish went down great hey. Deep fried mine @ 190c for 5 mins & ate them with Kecap Manis sauce. We ate the the lot from head to tail Japanese style. Stoked

I barely used it but I do have some footage, found it pretty handy to see what I was doing wrong in terms of body shape and timing. So, the day I lost the tag was an awesome day, cpl of ripper wipeouts and probably my best nose ride yet (5 only), was so stoked to get home and view the footage... Only to find I had not put an sd card in the cam, yep, total douche

soloshot1, they've offered me a new one for $90 from the U.S. so it should be here when we get back from Europe.

Does that include postage When the soloshot first came out, they were $499 with free postage in the US, but postage to Aus was $300 on top. I didn't buy one until they were selling them in Aus for $400 including postage.

I looked at the pricing the other day and it was $650 + $35 postage for the full set up ie. base unit, transmitter, camera and tripod. At that price I'd be too worried somebody would walk off with it while I was in the water.

Mick/Andy do you just leave it on the beach unattended or is it just set up with friends/family on the beach?

If thats the price of the soloshot 2 plus their recommended video camera, thats a very good price...I'm lucky enough to live in an area where I'm not so concerned about theft *touch wood*

But you can actually lock them down to stuff on the beach if you were concerned. Really depends on the vibe of where you live.
