for years he has been surfing boards that were either to big or to small banged up and bits of rubbish .... just not right for him...so while i could use new tyres i thought we should do the right thing and shape him a board just for him so he can feel the stoke.

Josh constable/creativearmy nailed it knowing will and what would work best 8'1 x 22 x 2' 1/2

yewww big will we love you bro

That is really cool Jas. Maybe buy some Maxxis or some other import so you don't feel too bad.

pretty cool for the young bloke to get his own custom stick, he must be stoked. Nice to see that the family colours are being maintained as well.

1 he doesnt need booties they are for babies

2 he has a short board and prefers style over shred .... but can surf both unlike most short board riders

3 he is also a kid that reads this like many other groms ... just sayin

4 the water is warm

he took it out for some coaching yesterday then had another fun surf yesterday arvo ... just trying to get him some stoke.. he hasn't surfed in over a year and the new board is working ... he has a long way to come but the right equipment makes such a diff with plenty of practice.

thanks heaps guys... think im frothing more than him, nothing like catching a wave with your kids.

chrispy that stuck in the dunny pic in fiji was so funny ... one for his 21st for sure :)

nah not the slightest sensitive ted .... i have the same short board battle with my brother in law... im like dude if we want to surf every 3 months .... then yeh lets go short
