+100 for Tim Copes book. Very enlightening and he is amazingly well informed and open minded for one so young.

last book i read was the one mac gave me when i was 'resting' up.

something about a bloke called bob.

i had to read it because each saturday had a question and answer test by the headmaster of all things bob

later, i found the best thing to do was just to nod my head in approval, say what about the time in byron ba.....

and the great oracle of 'bob thru the ages or 4 decades- which every comes first' would finish the story off for me

thems were the days

A Voyage to New Holland, Etc. in the Year 1699 by William Dampier
if you don't mind reading on a kindle or i-pad
not rivetting but interesting if you realize he was essentially a government sponsored pirate on the equivalent of boy's surf trip in the 1700's

Just finished Into the wild by Jon Krakauer...its the story of that young bloke that goes bush in Alaska and lives of the land before dying...and now I am onto his next book Where Men Win Glory about Pat Tilman the NFL player who quit footy to go fight the Taliban..both are excellent reads.

^^^

like i said boof when I'm away I'm not on line and still don't find the time.
i read a lot years ago, even the wife has stopped.
when laying around ,i think i would rather surf the net and do some research that kind of thing than read a book.

i would like to do the audio book and do something else, but my wife tells me that isn't going to happen,as males can't multitask.

Do not watch TV and you will find lots of time !! !! Especially now you have a month off the turps

I find I can plow though a good book very quickly one they embrace me - much to the detriment of any other items on my to do list !
