ted it was poor surf
270m rain
30-40 knt SE winds
6ft E to NE swell
the low basically crossed land about 500k north of us,it was setting up perfectly but kept on blowing
SE winds from another low backing up the first. normally we get offshore winds.
thursdays looking good. fingers X

Ahh the dreaded low underneath the one you had been waiting for Lets hope things do not go pear shaped this week for you. We have just had the predicted howling southerly arrive in the last 30 mins. Our low is too close to shore as well!

Asea - does he still have a job?

I've got no idea of the real/full story but there certainly seemed like some biased reporting in that one. Everyone has a breaking point if pushed hard enough.

umm looks fun up your way. We have some interesting stuff happening down our way. The models are showing a lot of divergency. In fact so much I thought it was a good opportunity to see who was really on the button these days so I took a few screen shots of all the main players. Lets see how it plays out tom. Its clear we are getting something from the south

Although Cape Flattery is getting some wind Cooktown is not.

If they wanted it to be more they would have said so. "+" does not equate Pup to the difference.

As for the camera - its fully charged and ready for action after I finish. I think I will be surfing the reefs on the north side of the bay tom. Should be all time

lets just say that CW got it completely wrong. Just back from my surf and there are some solid chunks coming through already and as you can see by the Sydney buoy its a hell of a lot bigger than CW thought. Looks like its going to continue to grow as the day progresses and we should have some fun on the reef as the swell bends around into the bay

once it crosses the coast/land it drops to a tropical low but as we know down south a low doesnt have to be called a TC to create damage
when they head out to sea they can regenerate back to a TC hence why the can bounce down the coast.
the prediction of this one .its going down the coast and going back out to sea near Townsville.like i said its a prediction.
