really, gee its a monstrous fin. i ended up getting the smaller 'crescent' and used it once- way to slow and unresponsive for me. now it just sitting in the back of the car

Send it down to me in Tassie so I can have a try!

The fin I am now pivots so well, and holds. Not great on drawn out turns but quick sharp pivot turns off the top or bottom are great!

TC.

Thanks for that...yeh not the happiest as I was busting to use it tomorrow.....can't complain considering how well the big girl went as a 2+1... I have even understood the pleasure of trimming on this board

Mine hardly ever fit. I used to Put a match under it. But don't have matches anymore..

So the bit inside a biro that holds the ink, just cut an inch of the end where there isn't any ink.

Unscre the fin put it under then do it up as normal.

Really you can use anything, I often just grab a stick from the gutter and brake it up and use that.

If it moves sideways, you can put some tape on the side.

And I'm really impressed you uploaded a photo 2

Bit of electrical tape will do short term until you get a plastic shimmy from Steve champion

And if you have one that is tight, wax the sides of the base before you slide it in, for unknown reasons this works.

I was going to suggest that you move forward in the box as you do have it a long way back and this would solve the problem

I use some thin clear rubber type material that one of the boys at beach uses to make dentures. Works a treat.

Everyone knows that wrapping it in glad wrap before you stick it in only works when you on holiday and will never see the other person again....

Ive had this on one of my boards. Either cut a strip off a coke can and wrap it around the base or get a straw from KFC or McDonalds, cut it in half and put it on the base of your fin and Roberts your uncle.

tilers wedge does the trick too.

really fin box and fin set ups- all the company's have managed to screw it up. futures and starboard being the biggest sinners. sick of packing , wedging, taping , sanding sides and toes off to get fins to fit. that 'slater trout' fin is the worse fitting fin ever. its 8.5" and the slot section just disappears down every fin box- to skinny, toe is wrong, pin position is wrong

and im sorry to say shapers are guilty too. shapers fins fitting real loose in shapers fin boxes - doh- how!!!!
