this bloke spotted round the corner from where I plan to spend the next week , figure we could be sharing a few waves .
pros - should improve my surfing ( very keen not to fall off ) , doesnt talk much , brings his own food.
minuses -hope he is not hungry

They breed them big in the west .

A 4 meter great white cruised through the Australian surf lifesaving titles held in WA last week closing down the comp . Apparently he was that close to the beach you could almost touch him ..

4 - 5 meter sharks cruising around ferk that :D]

mate and his wife were over there for the comp , his wife reckons she has never seen him run so fast - to get to the waters edge and check it out ,

absolute monster

good to see the new shark prevention methods are working well over there

Despite all this recent shark talk you would think that I would be getting more desensitised to them - well I am not !!!! They still scare the bloody be-jesus out of me. Last week I had a yarn one morning with a bloke who was heading out as I came in the evening before and he told me how he had seen a decent sized shark 15 mins after he saw me. Jeepers. It may have been the next day but I still almost crapped my pants. Lets hope its a shark free Easter

Same here Ted , the shark at Stanley was only 8 foot but any movement in the water next week I reckon I will be jumpy.

If it was 4-5 meters might leave the boards home for the week .
