Hi everyone,

I am looking to plan a trip to Bali and then onto Lombok early November this year. I will be going with the missus who also surfs so we are really after waves that are more fun than pumping and preferably minimal crowds. At the same time, the last time I frequented Bali and Lombok was about 7-8 years ago and hence the place to me is pretty much foreign now.

Anyone have any suggestions where to stay and go in Bali and Lombok? Anyone have a recommendations of a good guide or driver in either location? Even better if you have recommendations of hotels to stay by the beachside at any location you guys think are worth staying at for some good waves and to experience Bali and Lombok altogether.

Cheers,

November is the dodgiest month for swell in Bali.....apparently!!!!
ive always got fun waves in November so you got that bit covered....Lombok has good options too...some nice options in Kuta Lombok accom wise and waves around the area co-operating....mellow Euro Kook crowd mostly surfing "gentlemans hours" so if you are up n at em early they won't bother you till after coffee and croissant time (930/10)

As a mellow and mediocre SUP surfer from the flatlands / Netherlands ( yes we do get "waves") I have been to Bali twice and going this november. We are staying in Canggu and I will be supping Old man / Canggu. Been there two years ago and the worst day there is better then the best day in my country. So I am easily satisfied. Bear in mind I have a missus AND 3 girls age 2, 3 and 4. Surfing is dione in the very early morning. Now being closer to the spot maybe a sunset surf is possible ;-)

Minimal crowds
- go early
- check BERAWA BEACH
- avoid the peak
- Go further north ( BALIAN)
- Get the boat to Airports left / right

Find other suppers to share the stoke ;-)
