These lads remind me of a bunch of nutbags I used to knock around with when I was in my late teens around Cowtown. Communal living, communal growing and communal debauchery. And that's not to say my nuts were anywhere near the same league.
Sadly a lot of them are gone now and not to the sea. The poppy is to blame in the most part, that or piss and cars.

Also brings to mind a rare, uncrowded, smoking day at Padang in the mid '90's when a couple of lilly white lads with a thick brogue paddled out and worldly me states " Ya might want to watch yourselves lads, it's pretty heavy" to which one replied " Ahhhh 'tis just loike home but softer and warmer!" and proceeded to tear the ****en bag outa it.

How's the blood in the water at 3:00?
Seems to be alot of blood for water moving like that, especially so soon after impact.

Seriously nice looking waves, especially that sucky left but I wonder what the water temp is. Bloody cold I bet.

Surfing in Ireland has grown exponentially over the past decade or so. Up until the late 90's there was only one Olympic sized swimming pool in the country, and most of the population couldn't swim!

These days there is a surf fashion store in every town, and the beaches on the west coast are full of Australians offering boards and wetsuits for rent out of the back of a camper van. There's no shortage of local chargers either, as shown in the video above.

The water gets bloody cold though, sunny days are rare and you never quite get used to the ice-cream headaches when duckdiving!
