Dad bought a Cordingley's Stringerless Surfboard about 1962. It has been sitting in the shed for over 40 years now, and he considering chucking it out. Hoping someone can shed some light on it and whether it's worth keeping?

if it's damaged and brown from the sun or not a special one 1-500 bucks
put some pics up of the top and bottom and fin
jump onto vintage collectors surfboards in Facebook and or google recently sold cordingly surfboards before you let someone make an offer if it's that old it's probably worth a bit if it's in good comdition

3-4 years ago I picked up a 1965 WA Hawke Brothers 9'8" board on GumTree that had been sitting under a house for over 20yrs. It was covered in black dust and old wax, and clearly had water marks. I paid $300 for it as the guy was moving house and wanted it gone. He was kicking himself by the time I got there to pick it up as he had a number of other phone calls offering him much more.
I spent a couple of days cleaning off the wax, giving it a light rub back with wet & dry then sprayed two coats of gloss clear coat... it now is hanging above the pool table in the games room and I am confident I could get $800 or more for it now based off what I have since seen going for sale.
I would think that referenced by the original poster is more likely a 1967 stringerless model by Cordingley. From the photographs on his profile it appears yellowed and sun damaged and with some dings, it looks like a v-bottom displacement shape and I suggest is worth about $400 as is tops or whatever someone wants to pay for it.
