Missus & I tried very hard to purchase tickets for the surfing, skating & tennis (for missus) through a locals lottery system but didn't win. Tickets were only about $40 each for surfing/skating, not the multiple thousand dollar package deal swindles offered here in Oz. But of course now its not an option anyway with current Australian travel policies...Just hope they get a good swell for the surfing.
I saw the torch is on the move. To be honest I thought it was going to be cancelled.
Events with higher investment $ are probably safer. Japan has never officially locked down, there has only been public directives. They had to go ahead with so many other countries still going ahead with their sports. Would of been ridiculous if it didn't...lets hope nobody gets the sniffles.
