so our pool got canned due to local Melville punters spitting the dummy

apparently they are now looking at a site in cockburn central

looking at video of Melbourne pool it looks pretty fun

i work in the city, so like the idea that I could zip on train back to cockburn for an extended lunch hour and get a surf in at the pool and then back to the office

Don't even need to take a board as can hire em there

wots everyone else's thoughts surely there has to be support given Perth's ****e waves especially in summer

I thought Melville was a good site. Nice spot near the river and all that But Yeah the nanny state thing took hold.

To be honest i just hope they build it but I expect there would be heaps more surfers living north of the river and the traffic around cockburn is manic.

The tourist broucher would be interesting. Come to Cockburn and ride the wild wave

Yeah traffic is mental around there, but at least there's a train line. I'll give it a go for sure. Wish it was Occy's great lakes Qld or whatever its called design though.

My engineering background has me suspicious of occys, looks good in some videos but they release only very small amount of footage that is tightly cropped and edited. That makes me think the system has issues repeatedly producing waves in succession.
For how long it's been operating hardly any footage has been released.
