Hi All,
We wanted to spread the word about a new 100% recyclable and re-usable surfboard packaging for traveling surfers, shapers and surf retailers. Research has uncovered that by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the oceans! The goal is to entirely remove the use of plastic packaging in the surf industry by surfboard manufacturers, travelling surfers and retailers to reduce environmental impact.
You can check out the Flexi-Hex packaging via the links below. It's available right now in Australia and the USA!

It's a rip off
most boards come wrapped in bubble wrap so they are not damaged. Your wrapping let's light in, if I had a stick I could stab it straight in the board through one of the multiple holes in it.
for 60 bucks you can get a full cover that will last for ten years, or for 20 get a piece of cardboard with holes in it.
your mark up on manufacture is also likely around 500% minimum which is also highly offensive.
how many fake accounts did you make to get all those green thumbs.
And finally you ain't doing this for the environment your doing it to line your pockets.
Hope you enjoy the feedback, maybe pay for an add next time out of your %5000 profit from the one your mum bought
Yep I've got a bunch of bubble wrap to add a bit of protection for my double or triple travel bags. Or I'll just put a bag inside a bag if it suits the board I'm taking.
It would be interesting to see where the above product is manufactured. If in Oz I think the price would be fair enough, if offshore in some cheap labour country, the price is ridiculous & predatory.

Pun intended
Harsh words for a harsh markup margin, but as I said fair if manufactured in Oz. We're talking about cardboard packaging which has been around for yonks, where the limit of innovation is set by the directive of application. Nothing more...

Good fishing
Is the new and improved model about to hit the shelves.
Im actually curious if there has been some more testing/improvements done to prove the products validity.
The independent analysis had it failing miserably
Speaking of pedalling product. Has anyone seen Laird Jnr's inflatable back carrot. Product of the year in the making.

I'm a little confused as to what is so bad about promoting a safety product As for results, as i always suggest, if you did some research of your own, you'd know as much as i do..
If you can't wait a little longer for it to be dumped in your lap, ring Dave directly and ask him..

Dave has done a lot of testing according to the website. He provides dates and location of each test. He deserves credit for a least having a crack at creating something viable for surfers. Am keen to see some results that refute the University test tho - it's been said the results of another test are out there - bout time we saw them I reckon. In the mean time I am enjoying surfing zapper free ha ha

Absolutely nothing wrong with promoting a safety product if it works.
But as a consumer we have every right to question whether the thing works or not before shelling out your hard earned cash.
I take my hat off to Dave for trying to come up with a viable solution. I'm just a bit sceptical whether it actually works or not. The university papers I read said it made no difference and as an average consumer that's what I'm going to base my purchase decision on.
But I also agree with Goodvibes that he deserves credit for having a crack.

They've not yet been released. Its a very big process but my quote above says it all..

I guess the best advice is to don't just read stuff on social media and believe it. Have you actually ever picked up a phone and rang Dave to ask directly? Thats what i did and researched the hell out of it. Having said that have made some very good friends for having done so.
To say im impressed in what many individuals have invested, to help with change is a understatement. The level of disgust i have for politics and money involved is so understated.
The game the media plays is simply stupid. Saldy, too many people fall for that and base their opinions based on that rubbish..
Oh well, i guess its only your legs and life so for some, its not that important enough to bother with..
I don't believe I would receive a biased assessment by speaking to the manufacturer.
The recent independent university study where they took all the devices and measured them up against one another takes out any bias. And at the end of the testing the Sharkshield was the only one that seemed to have any affect on the whites.
So as a consumer if I was in the market I'd be leaning towards a Sharkshield
I also noticed the other day on the today/morning show they had the owner of Skarkbanz spruiking his new and improved product. Apparently stronger magnets.
The hosts also asked the question about the shark attack in Florida which he replied that the product isn't bullet proof and it only acts like a seat belt.
Maybe they have all realised they have had to step up their game or go bust.

Sadly when large sums of money are paid to test these products, when you see the disparity of who paid for what, i think you'd be disappointed with the "Scientific Results" also..
Again as i pointed out, politics and and greed coupled with the media, not how i like to research a product..
As i said, watch this space...
Oh and the magnet idea, i find it interesting that Tuna fisherman are starting to line their nets with magnets, to deter sharks from taking their catch, so although i think the power output may be an issue, their must be something in them..
I believe the flinders study last year was not a true indication as I used the testing to do some mods to the Rpela V1
just to update this yes there was a totally independent unpaid study done on the V2 Rpela off Esperence WA
the results will be out soon .
Is your upgrades to the unit available yet ? You where saying when I spoke to you that there was an upgrade to make the output stronger
