How did it go at 8ft Tux ? Any feedback from him.
He said its the fastest he's ever gone...it handled it easy...and he came and saw me last week to talk about getting another one
Jeeeezus.....6 X 20 X 3!!! it would paddle like a longboard! I'm blown away by the paddle speed of the 5'4.
Finally got a chance to finish sanding the second one. Looking forward to getting it in the water.
5'5 X 18.5 X 2.5. Tail width 11" (at the end of the rail line) Nose width 12" (end of the rail line) Single concave into double through the fins. 5 fin set up so it can be run as a quad or a thruster.
Here are a couple of designs that pre-date the tomo shapes by a couple of years - some good boards but didn't have the same fan fare!
around 2006-2007
Mid - Late 90's ??
Rusty 1994??
a couple of designs that might work (or not)
So what is the consensus with all who have ridden the planning hulls? an which one of the three (vadar, VG or EVO) is better suited to a bit musher waves on the odd occasion but hollower punchy stuff every other day. I'm incline to say the vadar design is for me.
hello,
i think i am ready for my first shortboard. i am intrested in the vader as there is a kitesurf version of it (and i kitesurf)
but it is primarily just for surfing. if i am better off getting something like a potatonater or whatever then ill just go with that.
so the big question is, would the vader (kiteboard edition) be suitable for a first time shortboard.
thanks for your help.
(i am quite good at kitesurfing and have gone thru 3 minimal/fish boards over last few years surfing)
ill be surfing sunshine coast qld
TLDR would a 5,10 vader fst (kite edition) be suitable for someones first shortboard?
