Was held today and what a cracking little event it is.

I could have spent a lot of cash today but refrained.

I did however come across a gun like blood red Col Ladhams singo. I picked it up and was wondering what sort of price to offer when I heard a guy ask a bloke if these where his boards. He replied no. I turned and said I was just about to ask the same question.

He replied by saying the red gun was his board once. He was the first to own it and regretted parting ways with it ever since some 25 years ago. Ten years ago he saw a bloke carrying the red gun up Scarborough beach road. He struck up a convo and the bloke said he picked the board up from a swap meet at Innaloo for $30 bucks. He offered him $100 but the dude said he wanted to hang onto it.

Many moons later and several swap meets garage sales and mandatory visits to hock shops then low and behold he found the board today.

I placed the big red gun back down on the grass and wished him well with the haggle before bidding him farewell.

The look on his face was one of joy. Two old friends reunited perhaps.

I didnt find a board but had a great time looking

Yep. Was hoping to see something that I recognised from days of old, but no. Anything that I'd ever owned must've been run into the ground.
A huge thumbs up to the fellas who have taken the time to make some tip destined boards into works of art once again.
