This board is made by SBT (Sailboards Tarifa). I wanted a freeride foilboard that is lively and manoeuvrable for sails from 4.0 to 5.5 with about 115 liters. it is 188cm long and 70cm wide and has a Tuttle foilbox becaus i use Sabfoil (Moses) foils.
I have not used it yet because it is full winter now in The Netherlands.
What do you guys think of it?
My first thought for a free ride board, where is the track for mounting a foil. I don't think that I would get a free ride without it now. Racing is different. Looks nice.
Looks great! I think it has the perfect dimensions for freeride/style/wave foiling. I'm doing my first boardbuild and going slightly bigger (2mx78cm 120l) to use mostly with 5-7m sails.
I wonder what the purpose is of the 'cut-out' in the deck. Do you know the bottem shape? Nice to see there's some tailkick.
The scoop is remarcably low. Getting going will be easy wit the bigger planing surface but I think when touching down in a gybe, foilouts or sudden touchdowns it might lead to crashes more often. Your skills will prevent this over time. Maybe the beveld rails help also. I'm curious to know more.
My previous board was entirely my own design, made by SBT. This one was 201cm long and 80cm wide and 120 liters. This one was perfect for sailing from 5.0 to 7.0 and touring.
Hi Kees,
that board looks spot on. That is pretty close to what I want to build for myself. I just need a tad bit more volume for my just a bit under 100kg body. 125-130l 1,9mx0,7m.... I am sure you will have lots of fun with that board. I just saw a video of Maaike Huverman rocking the Dam, looks like perfect conditions to test a new board :-)

First test with Moses / sabfoil w790 and w1100 wings. It planes very early and comes right out of the water. Then it feels small, light and very playful. The balance is exactly as it should be. With a nose landing it bounces back well without slowing down. I am very happy with how it is performing and it is exactly what I wanted. By the way, the Moses W1100 wing is fantastic, it just keeps flying, just doesn't want to stop!
Mine's 182x70cm and 105L, also awesome, think you'll have heaps of fun and the board is spot on for 3.5-5.5sqm.
