Hi
After 2 years foiling with first 1700 and than 1300 foil I bought my first race foil.
I find a IQ foil set:
Wings:
1000 millennium/900/725/ and back 255-2
Fuse: 115+/105+/95+.
I was out yesterday with 900 and then 725 with 6.9 Sails.
I will use most of the time 6.9 or 7.8 sail, with my 85cm board and my weigh is around 96kg.
I know that 115 use more for uppwind/down wind course. When is better to use 95+?
I was used to have mast fot back before but now I need to try different position because this have more acceleration and lift. First time in a high aspect wings was amazing. This is my kit:

I saved a pic of an older post on here, wish I had a link, he explained it well. The 105+ is good for a lot. Not sure when you'd use the 95+ instead.
I've used the 115+ with down to 650 front in lighter stuff. Just can't push as hard on the angles. Prefer 105+ if going to be more reachy.

don't use 95 fuse if you want to be quick even in slalom in 25 knots iq people never use it and they are on 9m. if you are on 6.9 in those conditions it should be perfect. however unlike Iq you also have a smaller front wing so use it to go fast. Of course use the 900 if you want to go upwind downwind. from someone who has done iq youth at international level it pays to never use the small fuse, in-fact i don't know anyone who even bought it. have fun :)

Actually, I've found the 95+ to be quite a good option when the winds up and I want to foil. It's very back footed (board geometry and shim angle dependant) until your really up at speed, which gives the confidence to push a bit harder. A lot of sailors prefer a bit more lift and earlier stability than that though, so go for the 105 for windier conditions. I'd say you probably won't find you need both of them though.

Try them all before you might decide to dispatch one of the two smaller ones.

Thank you for answers I will try all of them in different conditions.

I have the fuse 95+ and 105+, I prefer by far the 105+ ... more stable for freeride / freerace.

To me, the 95+ is good with the 330 stab (-1 shim for low wind, -1.5 shim for high wind)
And the 105+ is best with the standard 255 stab ( -0.5 shim for low wind, -1 for high wind)

Hi,
I tried my IQ foil set up few days ago and today. I understood at race foil need more power/speed before they will lyft up. Whit my Superflyer I can pump whit back foot and then will fly directly in super light condition.
Like I wrote I will mostly use my 6.9 sails.
I hade last Saturday a session with really gusty conditions 8 knots wind with 16knots in a gust(short gusts max 2 sec.)so not really easy to know what to use. Anyway I tried 115+/1000/255 in the beginning then 115+/900/255, sails 6.9. A lot of pump, and then in a gust was overpowered. I hade -1 spacer.
Today hade a good session with more wind 16/20 knots.
I started with 115+/900/255 and -0.5 spacer, I felt like to much drag but not to much lift. The board touched the water sometime. I use to have a steady flight with my Superflyer and always really high, so compared was not the same. A guy how have been foiling for few years, recommended to test 105+/900/255 and move back 2 cm my mast base. So It was less drag and more comfortable 105+ fuselage actually, after 35 minutes I change front wing with 725 and was even better. The fly was stable, comfortable but a lit a bit low. I hade 0 spacer. I needed for sure +0.5.
Anyway my conclusion are at my 115+ will work better with bigger sails. I have 7.7 but I didn't try yet. My 105+ fit good with my Freeride 150(85cm). 95+ maybe will use on the future.
The wind was strong (for me) and I think I don't need to use minus - spacer, but it is better to use 0/+0.5/+1.
If I had used my Superflyer today I probably had a -1.5/-2 so is very different to compare IQ foil spacers.
I took 2 pictures with mast base position for 115+ and 105+ , so next time I will have that in the same position.
It will be easier for sure soon to choose right fuse/spacers/wing

Don't be too shy about using the 0/+0.5/+1 spacers with the 115 fuse. Even with the bigger fuse, the -2 stabiliser tends to function better with more angle, if it's the standard angle stabiliser (it appears to be the -2 you've got) then you're better off using the - shims.

Sounds like you've got it figured now, but I'm not surprised you got the "lacking lift" sensation using the -0.5 shim.

use +0.5 or +1 if your heavy the angle differences are huge.

Resume:
I have been foiling 6-7 time now with my race foil.
I really like it!!! Yesterday and today was super nice sessions. My speed is just around 19 kts but I've been used 725 just 1 or 2 times.
My 7.8 -2cam sail fit perfect with 1000/115+/255(-2)
Yesterday was out with this setup and the wind was 8-11 kts (accord to the wind station), it was really fun in this conditions just pump 3-4 times and then fly forever!!!!??
Today the wind was more 10- 15 kts and I want out with 900/105+/255(-2) freerace sail 6.9.
I used same boom as yesterday so It takes some minute before the harness line was in a good position. Anyway was amazing flight, super stable.
Every time it's easier and easier to pop up the foil and it really huge difference iq mast compared my old aluminium 95 mast.
I tried also to jibe at least 10/12 times and 1 time was almost flight jibe??????.
Last two days with 115+ and 105+ fuselage I've used 0? shims and It's looks like work good.
I could have my back feet in the straps position to get more lift and I like it.
Anyway, tomorrow will be even more wind and I want to try for the first time 95+ fuselage with 725 front wing. Under this 6/7 times with IQ foil I took a picture to remember the position of the base mast. Obviously with shorter fuse tomorrow I will move 2 cm bak then 105+ position. I will write here my opinion about 95+ fuse??.
