There is a turning point in every sport where you go from novelty to being taken seriously. I think windsurf foiling just reached that point... at least here in Western Australia.
Seriously awesome sailing:
I thoroughly enjoyed that. The first part of that video is so important. Beginning foilers sometimes get frustrated crashing especially if they are pretty experienced windsurfers. They sometimes forget that we all walked the same road.
This and the pics of racing this weekend ...
Amazing drone skills and video quality Thomas Hofmann!
What was the wind speed like in those conditions? Those waves and foiling skills make me super jealous.
Another cool feature about those short boards(Wizard 105 and FS 87) is all the crashes in the beginning probably resulted without a nose repair. Since the boards are so short, the nose is well underwater when the mast comes down
Awesome video. The amazing drone footage, music and intense freefoiling was wicked. A very inspirational video to get out there and just rip it!
Great vid fella's!! I wish I had crew to sail with down my way. Its unreal carving up the swells but I bet it's a lot more fun with ya mates!!
Awesome vid and sweet drone work. Little confused by the choice to pump the frame rate up for all of the 'normal' foiling footage (IE not slomo), Looks weird.

There's probably half a dozen separate sessions in the vid.
The windiest was last Saturday - about 25 knots when Jesper and I were downwinding together at the end of the vid.
This pix of Jesper was taken on land into the wind - probably gives a better impression. It was windy
Thanks again to Thomas - awesome drone and editing skills.
Foiling froth has got to him too, he had some epic first flights yesterday on SS Wizard 125/ Hoverglide 76 combo

Yes Saturday was windy alright even windless Bunbury had 20+knt WSW'er , So much fun on the Infinity76/4m wave sail combo carving up the small swells rolling in!!
Looks like an epic spot, we'll have to drive down and keep you company next swell. How good is that 76 wing

There are actually only a handful of shots that had the speed increased by about 10%. Most of the downwind and top down shots are at normal speed. A bit like the music some like it ... some don't.
... little known fun fact. Almost all Neil Pryde product videos in the 90s had the playback speed for sailing segments cranked by 5 to 15% ...
