Hello. I'm going to change my foil and I'm in doubt about these two. I use small sails (< 5,5m) in light winds (10-17knots), 68 kg. Maybe I will buy also a new board (around 220 x 75cm, 115 litres, 2xusbox and deep tuttle boxes), probably a third party one, not Slingshot or Starboard.

Some points to compare
- Which is the most stable and easiest to be compatible with third party /old boards? Does the SC require the usbox tracks platine to have more chances to fly stable? Does the Infinity 76 have more features to adapt to an old board from a deep tuttle box rear position?
- Which one flies earlier?
- Is the inifinity 76 much heavier than the SC?
- Which is the best suitable board for both foils? Freeride/ride small swells program
- Others..

Naish could be the third option but I don't understand why I should buy first a windfoil with an small front wing and additionally a big surf front wing. There are also many cheap and big front wing surf foils (Gong, Sroka, etc) but the short mast and fuselage scares me a bit for stability.

Thanks.

What's wrong with your current foil? I think your question is a bit open ended to give a good answer. What gear is available local to you so you have some others to compare notes with?

Do you just want a bigger wing?

I'd throw Fanatic Flow, NP Glide and new Severne Redwing into the mix too if they are options for you. All seem pretty well put together with simple solid connections. And really the Naish at your weight I can't see it being an issue.

I'm not a big fan of the connection design on the slingshot, or the starboard...

Your requirements sound very similar to mine. I am 68 Kgs and have been riding the i76 and the Wizard 125 with ease. I have a Wizard 105 on order (to replace the 125) which I will use with the i76 and from what people say works just as well with the 105.

I won't delve into what foil flies earlier or is more stable as I am not an authority but in the near term I plan to roll the i76... when the 105 arrives.

Hi
Neilpryde forces you to buy two wings, the small one and a large surf one later. Fanatic is more expensive and test results are not very good.

The size of the supercruiser are in the moddle of infinity 76 and 84. Some comments about adaptation to different boards and stability among infinity 76 or 84 and supercruiser?

Thanks.

Hi,

Can you clarify which tests results are not very good for Fanatic ?

Just curious if you have any feedback on their new 1500 cm2 wing.

For a ligth rider like me (68kg), small sails (5'3) and 10-16 knots, which one (supercruiser or infinity 76/84) do you think it's better?

Besides, in the early fly comparison with other foils, Fanatic flow 1250 was the worst one, worse than other foils with smaller wings. I thought maybe it was because the rear wing is so small

Fanatic has whole bunch of wings, not only 1250. There is 900, 1000, 1500. If I would buy now I would take 1000 and 1500 (for light wind). I would suggest to demo different foils if you can.

The cool thing about a discussion like this now is that we have all this choice. Three years ago, not much choice, and we could not "tune" our gear nearly so much.

The problem with choice is that it can be overwhelming or confusing. So, we have to be patient in our research and definitely use the experience of others. Most foilers are pretty good at doing this. Good job.

At your size, I don't think you'll much if any benefit going above 1500cm2. It's the equivalent of the 90kg guys going 2000cm2. If your quiver is limited above 5.3, that suggests you live in a pretty breezy place. Big wings will be harder to deal with overpowered in windier conditions, especially at your size. If you really want to push the lower limit, consider a nice foil specific ~7.0 like the Foil Glide, Flyer, F-Type, Skyscape, etc. They are all have few battens, very light and rotate very easily. Do not think that they'll feel like a heavy, dead slalom sail.

I think the Infinity wings are nice but the design of the SS system, imho, could be improved. See other recent threads for people's experiences.
