Funny detail.
In former Zeeko vids they used harnesses with kite leashes on. Now it's a pure Windsurfing harness. Seems like they found salvation

Strapless WWF is the way to go ...

I still use a kitesurf harness and most time with the leash still attached.
of course it's embarrassing when you forget that you attached the free end clip to harness hook. Then get out and try to hook in.

Ok, so you're still kiting. It seems to be still the bigger part of the Zeeko business, isn't it?
I sometimes wonder if the former kiteonly guys only windfoil for promoting their new business or because they like it more then kiting.
But for them it's work not leisure like for us customers, so a different perspective maybe.
And I sometimes wonder how the shares are at the former kiteonly companies reg. windfoiling.
I guess at Slingshot the share is quite high atm, but i also could be totally wrong and kite is still dominating.

Thanks for sharing. So many people aren't getting what I'm talking about when I tell them I spend most of my time doing WWF style foiling. It's ALL about the glide on every bump you can find. My go too rig has been the Elite 5.3 and my JP 7" foil with my Naish XXL. My buddy saw me get a 5oo meter glide the other day on wave chop going downwind with the sail hanging to my side. Then HE GOT IT. I love SUP Foiling too...but damn if there's 8-10 knots of shlogging wind on the way out...why not relax vs the paddling. :)

Just to point out.
I have windsurfed since 1983. Kiting and windsurfing since 2000.
Once I saw how much more durable and comfortable a Kiting harness is I never went back to a windsurfing harness.
Nicolas at Zeeko was a windsurfer before Kiting and was experimenting with Windfoiling at least as far back as early 2016. Based on emails from me asking about fitting my new Zeeko black & white kitefoil to my old Slalom board.
Yes Windfoil has dragged the mainline Kiting companies in for market share and usually with outsourcing design.

But those small companies that have driven hydrofoil design from way back, such as Horue and Zeeko and others. Deserve credit for pushing hydrofoil into other windsports beyond their Kiting beginnings.

Cool video! I totally get WWF and have a Starboard 7'4 105L Hypernut 4'n'1 for SUP and WWF with a GoFoil. I used footsteps on my first sessions but they are not in the right place really as too outboard for WWF. I still use a front strap for a bit of leverage and go strapless in the rear so can move my foot around slightly to trim the foil.

WWF makes a nice slow-motion glide compared to my race foil set up. Love SUP and Wake foiling too.

I am surprised about how few people are getting into WWF as it is super fun and a lot of the free ride foil gear is ideal. I am an old school wave sailor so I will do anything to feel like DTL wavering and a foil can feel electrically responsive in tiny swells.
