Odell Lake used to be the goto spot for windsurfers from Eugene. It gets the same cross-mountain pressure gradients that drive the Gorge and Klamath Lake and Suttle Lake and Rimrock Lake (my former home water) and Lake Wenatchee. Odell also has excellent fishing.
Right next to Odell is Crescent Lake where years ago there was once a US National Championship Longboard Windsurfing Race.

Wow! Some great info and history out here. I'm like the only windsurfer / foiler here now days. This lake is loads of fun! Many days it blows into the low 20s. Seems like there is enough wind to get out their almost every day in the summer. When the air temps at Klamath Lake gets too hot or there is an algae warning here, Odell Lake is my go too spot!
What a pretty venue! Your riding smooth and steady! Nice!
Thanks! Felt pretty good! Next season, I will attempt the air gybe. Looks super challenging to accomplish! I tried once this season, but got bucked off the board. In other words, I over foiled during the transition. Watching the videos is easier said than done. But, it looks very tricky.
Nice vid. Are those knee braces?
Thanks! Yes those are knee braces. I only wear them when I'm on the water. They give me just the support I need when windfoiling and windsurfing.
