d 'Wind Action' and got a couple of links to old threads here, and the boards themselves seem to be remembered fondly by many people at least...
This is my latest 'score' for free, which seems to be the right price for these boards nowadays...
The board itself is almost a piece of art, there's so much work obviously gone into its design and construction. Its condition is approaching mint, amazing for what I presume is another 80's era board. The nose has a small ding, the pod has been repaired, and there's a few odd nicks and scratches, but that seems to be it.
I got this for free because the bloke who bought it only wanted the sail, and this, and THREE other old sailboards ere about to go out on the kerbside cleanup. I've got 2 at home so far, this one and one I've hidden under the back deck so the wife won't see it... The other two come home on my next day off.
So... Anyone got any ideas on age etc. on this old beauty?
And specifically, can anyone tell me about those little raised round bases for the footstrap screws to go into, what's under them, are they removable etc.
Oh, and this is the one I've got hidden, I reckon you can see why... And it's hollow too!
I would love to take this one off ya hands if ya in Brisbane, it's a BIC Electric Rock made between 1988-1995, thermo moulded, it's a medium wind slalom 102lt, 2.65m x 58cm weighing only 8kg, really nice board in my opinion.

Cracking board, i learned short board sailing on one of these.
Loved Bic's like this and my astro Rock

I have a BIC Metal Rock not as good looking as the Electric, and a BIC 200SL Tri-fin. Awesome boards that are my main ones to use.
Just remembered you are at the Gold Coast If you ever want to part with the Electric Rock send me a message. I will come and get it.
I only put that pic up as an afterthought!
OK, so 2 people want this board... I might start a new thread on it, OK?
I used to have a windaction slalom and loved it. Don't know if it's just the lens but boy they look skinny compared to the modern boards!
Oh she's skinny alright! (9'4" long, 22" wide, and only about 3" thick, so 'classic' malibu dimensions, like the one I used to ride in the early 60's. The shape is completely different of course, it will be interesting to see how it goes in the water on monday.
