Andy's partner, Anita has just contacted me, and would like to pass on the following message:

It is with the greatest sadness we announce that our beautiful Andrew left us on Monday night at 6-00 pm at home with us all beside him at home.

Andrew's funeral will be held at the Pettigrew family funeral chapel in Belmont at 10 am Monday 2/5/2011 for those wishing to attend. Andrew had requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the Cancer Council, Calvalry Mater Oncology or Calvary Mater Palliative Care Outreach. Kind Regards, Anita and his family.

Andy had a huge positive impact on both myself & Seabreeze, and was always an inspiring person to talk with. After months of him fighting cancer, it's a sad loss indeed, and he'll be missed.

Condolences to Anita and family.

It is hard to imagine not bumping into Andrew again around the traps. From my first windsurf package purchase in '92, a trip to maui & coming across him at various sailing spots around Newcastle. He was always a positive thinking, glad to see you sort of bloke.

We will miss you.

Indeed, I only got to speak to Andrew on a few occasions, but his enthusiasm for all windsurfing and kitesurfing was amazing. We have lost a great character, and each day will be a little incomplete as a result.
RIP Andrew.

As a friend for 20 years and a sponsor when I was racing, he was a nice guy and a good person. Too short a life. I will miss him. I send my condolences to his family. Paul Davies.

Ronnie, I will miss your smile when visiting your shop, your interest in how my family were going and the help you have given me in the past 20 years.
Till we meet again in the big ocean of endless sunshine and steady breezes, farewell good friend.

A message from Anita and the Regan Family

Words at this time are so inadequate to express the gratitude felt for all of the wonderful support during the hardest moment of our lives at Andrew's funeral yesterday. The love we experienced personally and toward the most exceptional person in the world as was Andrew, is so very much appreciated. To know him was to love him. So, as small as thank you can sound, it comes from our hearts with enormous depth and we simply cannot thank everyone enough. XXXXXX
