Does anyone have any carbon board repairer contacts in Sydney, Central, Coast or Wollongong, that they could help by sharing their contact details?

The job, is to either repair or cut off / modify the nose ideally with carbon (or glass, if needed) of a 2001 Drops carbon Formula board (FL13) and add two mast tracks to mount a carbon hydrofoil, plus fill/cover the old fin box. Adding the foil tracks will need to be very good carbon work due to the loads, hence the request for professional carbon workmanship. I would have had a crack at it myself, but have never done any carbon work before and the thought of losing a foil due to not asking for professional work to be done, goes without saying.

Happy to take PM's. Hope there's someone available, sick of being off the water

no need for carbon installing those boxes.

But if u must, any use of carbon in that application is same as applying glass.

Hi Mark, I've fortunately been given by PM a number for a local Carbon / boat builder who may be able to help. If not, great to now about glass, wasn't sure how well that would go, I personally haven't done glassing since boat building in high school. Thanks appreciated.

I've just a major nose repair done by Tim at Breakers Epoxy Board repair in Brookvale. He wasn't cheap but he's a real perfectionist. He gets angry if he can't match the colours and graphics perfectly.. he kind of looks like Iggy Pop too!

Andrew at Divola Boats in Manly Vale also does good repairs and fixed a busted nose on another board.

Thanks Gonebush, Tim's a bit busy ATM and may try him in couple of weeks if unsuccessful.

Andrew was my first Choice at Divola Boats, but he's not available ATM.

Stuart at PCC surfboards in Miranda will do it same week, if not same day. No repair is too big or small. He's done work on my full carbon boards and is an excellent craftsman... he'll even colour match any graphics. I can't recommend him enough. Really top bloke! Very cool shop/shaping bay too :)

Hi @Redbob. I was fortunate enough to have Mark at Dinghy Sports at Mona Vale in Sydney do the tracks on my F2. So due to the very reasonable price, quick turn around and service. I'll be heading up that way with the Drops board to fix the bow and fit up the tracks to take a new alloy / G10 foil very soon.
