I got this mast 2nd hand a while ago. Does anyone know what brand/model and what Curve it is? I hope to use it for Severne sails.

I had a goya rdm mast several years ago...it too was made in Italy and had identical wrap pattern of the carbon...almost chunky and a bit uneven...just like the one in the photo. Perhaps made in the same factory?

it could be an XO sails mast.

either way, best thing is to measure the bend curve so you know exactly what it is. you need a weight and 2 stools and tape measure. I'm sure you'll find a tutorial online.

Looks like a carbon Tech mast. Ask Jesper Orth, he will know.

looks like the masts we get over here from the italian factory, sort of generic masts with a small silver sticker on it, I even had one with a starboard sticker on it !!!
They're cheap but good quality.

Like Gestalt said probably an XO sail mast (constant curve). probably from before they started selling fancy ones....

Thanks guys, I googled Goya mast and saw this - so this is probably it

Goya and XO seems similar in bend curve (Constant). Reading up on checking bend characteristics, all that measuring and calculating is doing my head in - I think I will just go and buy a Severne mast instead!

you need to be careful buying clean skin masts because generally they are masts that have failed the QA process.

either they have faults or they are out of bend curve spec. buy the severne

Goyas are soft tops I think. The curves vary with length too.
I have a feeling that that sticker may indicate the same factory but not necessarily the same layup.

Looks like a Ka (made in same factory ) measure the curve, it's not that hard

agree with Kato, looks identical to my ka.
Let me know if it doesn't work on the severne.
