I dragged my old Vivace out yesterday and I had forgotten how fast she is. Does anyone remember what year they were made? No grip, has to turn but talk about fly, it burned my new slalom board off

1994 red & blue racetech spectra 270, 282 & 290.

A little later in 94 carbon in those sizes & 263 shape released.

95/6 a 275 released, somewhere around there the 270 was dropped or became the basis for the veloce.

I think then they were pretty much unchanged until the 277/299 carbon vivaces were released.

I had 282 carbon, 299 carbon, loved both of these boards, a 263 which tried to kill me (fast but very low nose rocker), wouldve loved a 270 as high wind board as they were fast & user friendly. The 299 did everything well, the 282 liked to trip rail in gybe but that is likely user error & fins.

270 probably is still a very valid high wind fast open water board.

Mine from the 90s. I remember It was fast, but not easy to gybe. Now days it's wall decoration.
