Don't let this thread die.
Let us know when the p*gs get him.
When he's in court, and how it ends up.
'hope he gets his day in the hole.
Yep sorry I didn't follow up.
To make it short, they got the guy to come in the police station, got his version of the incident.
Said he hadn't seen my son and while trying to avoid him at the last minute it caused him to hit Tiffany but a very slow speed.
Asked her if she was okay, got a yes from Tiff and so "drove" away.
Tiffany's father then got a phone call from the police saying the prosecutor would only hold the "accidental injuries" for the case and it would then only go to civil court.
reasons being :
his word against Tiff's, no direct witness, for some obscure technical reason the footage is not considered as proof (cop admitted it was the first time they have to deal with something like that and weren't very comfortable)
he talked to Tiff (insulted her..) so it cannot be considered as hit and run as there was communication between them.
Tiff's father took a lawyer and is still bringing it to court as she suffered more than 8 days of incapacity, this transfers the case to court instead of civil.
Going to court on the 17th october.
As for Tiffany she's only slowly getting back to normal, being having sleepless nights (dreaming of my son dying).... and what was thought to be a spine inflammation is in fact a spine sprain (?) and causes severe pain and headaches.
Good thing being she got back to windsurfing last week and enjoyed it (even if she's scared of every boat now...)
"apparently" (and I know nothing about it so just quoting) the guy is a free mason and quite protected by the cast here.
will let you know what comes out
