Good to see sail makers trying new things, from ABC windsurfing

ABC: What is so different from traditional sails?
HS: Externally and aesthetically few things, the differences are inside, in fact wea double surface which creates a "strange" thickness on the sail that looks like a pocket of very large tree, in practice you do not see the classic depth but almost convex surface.
We were able to achieve, for windsurfing, a wing sail similar to other modern wing surfaces designed for boats and catamarans.
Obviously our wing sail is a weapon as a traditional sail, mast and boom as standard
?
does this mean there are no cams?
I think there are cams in the sails but two batten per cam, this technology may go no where or change windsurfing forever especially formula slalom and SPEED sailing.
oh. i haven't read all the info, but it looked like they have a spacer between the two battens to get the wing leading edge shape, and therefore no need for a cam to induce the shape?? might be a breakthrough if it is
not sure how well it would roll up into a bag though?
"..........the sail that looks like a pocket of very large tree, .................."
Choco, Nice find although apart from possibly HR Puffinstuff I've never seen a tree wearing pants with pockets. Those formula sailors will be wetting their plants too.
Double luff sail looks a mission to use, when weighted with water.
Has anyone ever tried inserting inflatable/deflatable bladders, inside deep luff pockets, to displace water?

Luff pocket bladders filled with helium
Aeroforce sails from San Diego sold similar sails, late eighties and actually called them....Double Luff Sails!

Sounds like a double luff fail.

Dan Kaseler did this: olypen.com/dkaseler/Inflatable%20Gallery.htm
not exactly what you asked for but similar.
