I might be late on this one but Gaastra is now GA sails? Not sure how I feel about the name change...lots of the locals here are calling it GA instead of G A lol

Would 'GA-Pryde' have been better? Who cares about what they are called if they work. The sails look great.

Very flat.......maybe the wrong mast.

Which party of the sail do you think is too flat? Pretty full through to above the 4th batten IMO. I'm no sail expert but based on race result and the shape of the sail in that pic it's some fine tuning off pretty sweet..
Not saying, asking

Or are you looking at board trim..?

Compare above the boom.

Good pics for comparison, thanks.
To my eye the mast land luff look comparable, as does the the draft through the to the 5th batten. The leach is comparable on both.
The only difference I can see is the additional 5kn + wind and perhaps some batten tensioning... Mainly at 4 & 5
No?

nc1 sail looks fine, that bit of blue on the luff gives a bit of illusion. Almost looks like ben's sail is rigged to look like something else & front of luff looks very full where he's railed up.

I wouldn't imagine "that" guy using the wrong mast or not knowing how to rig a sail....

He's fully sponsored so no issues with not having the right mast.

Like said probably the colour or the angle of the pic.
They were sailing in 12 knots.

Have always like Gaastra sails. Different name but the sails still look great and clearly perform well too.

sails look nice
in the first pic the cams above the boom appear to not be fully rotated in my opinion..
They must work ok as they just won the formula worlds.

I wonder if they will stop making Gaastra Formula Boards? They can't very well market them as GA-Sails boards
