Sorry I dropped a few F bombs..
I'm still getting used to the go pro and I had the wrong option so there is a fair bit of wind noise but if you want to hear me you'll need to have the volume on.
Thanks for posting. What length harness lines are you using?
Maybe 28-32? Although probably about 30 in the video. ( They are new lines and I haven't used them a lot).
The amount of F-bombs used was well below par. Great footage too!
I didn't realise how often I used the F word..it just happens..
The lady standing behind me when I broke my ankle bushwalking and rolled 50m down the steep slope said I was going F! F! F! ..

Probably the angle of the video. I was wondering if you had short lines (not the case) and this was cramping you up and making the conditions harder to handle.

My 'survival ' stance probably makes it look that way.I don't always sail with my grip like that but I find that technique helps me avoid being thrown over the front .
nice run ...i didn't hear you f...ing swear ....
what speeds did you get up to....?did ya have a watch.?
Not much. I wasn't game to bear off till I got to the slightly flatter other side..25. something knots..Here's a link to the session.

If you had not posted the description i would have thought you were really comfortable. You keep the sail sheeted in and board speed looks good

I'd just done a survival run on the 111ltre and 6.6m. The wind was side offshore so it was hard to gauge how strong it was. I got over the other side and unhooked and the whole lot got ripped out of my hands ,thrown downwind and I had to swim for it.
The slalom starters were waiting over there so lucky I was downwind of them!
I managed to get back in one piece by going into gorilla mode and staying upwind..
Once back I figured the smaller kit would be a better fit.
Unfortunately it had picked up again and a 4m with the 68ltre waveboard would have been a better match.
Another brown pants sail. Lucky I didn't go out again as it died top 15-20kts and I would have been stuck out there..
I haven't been well so I was planning on a relaxed sail with a stop at each end to rest.. yeah right..
I haven't sailed the falcon in strongwinds and chop for over a year and I've never used a pointer on it before. I usually use a weedy to settle it down in the chop.. Well the fin worked well although boy that thing can move!
Sic run Simon and thanks for the entertaining footage. Nicely powered up always way better than struggling in marginal rubbish.
