Hi to all - first post here, but I am a member of the SB sailing forum.
I've been sailing since I was a kid, but haven't been windsurfing for a long time. I'm trying to work out what sails I have recently aquired. The pic has 7 sails in it, with the biggest one on the bottom, getting smaller as they are stacked on top. All the tack cringles are lined up, and I have lined up all the luff seams. I'm hoping somebody with an experienced eye can decipher my puzzle. I've put everything in order from bottom to top, with question marks where I am blank - hoping somebody can help.

(for example)
0. Make/colours, Size, Style

1.Pryde pink/white, 7.0m, slalom
2.DeVries fluro pink/blue leech, ?, ?
3.DeVries magenta/black leech,5.4m, ?
4.Pryde aqua/aqua, 5.3m, ?
5.DeVries magenta/blue leech, ?, ?
6.DeVries yellow/blue leech, ?, ?
7.Gaastra pink/blue, ?, ?

#2 & #3 appear to be similar in area, but different cuts.

I've added a photo at the head to show the differences in luff length on the DeVries and Gaastra.

All the DeVries are dacron, some are unused, the others used only once or twice. The 2 Pryde sails are dacron laminates, and the small Gaastra laminate on the top is probly past it's useful life.
I also have(not shown) a Pryde Solo 6.5m mono, and a Pryde RS Racing 7.8 mono.
If anyone can help me with the missing sizes and styles that would be really appreciated. Also, which sail for what application.
I'm 82kg, and have a 3.3m old school longboard, a 2.89 Hall epoxy, and a 2.65 wave board.
Thanks in advance for any help, this is a bit confusing to me. (must be getting too old!!)

Azure,
Firstly, great to hear you're getting back into it. Now to those sails!
Best thing they'll be good for is wrapping the fibreglass masts that probably came with them so you don't get glass fibre splinters before taking them all to the tip. Unfortunately these sails are old school and will probably cause you more pain than they're worth (which is not much at all) getting your skills back up.

The Neil Pryde Solo (Freeride sail) and the Pryde RS Racing (Slalom sail) are much more modern (seam shaped) albeit you will need correct mast and rigging guidance specially for the RS Racing.

What masts and booms do you have too - this is a big factor on compatibility with sails. I'll leave any discussion re: your boards to another day.

Thanks sausage. In the back of my mind I somehow knew that was going to be the answer, but i had to ask.
Yes, ive 2x 1pce FG, and 1x 2pce FG (it's purple!!) masts, so off to the tip for them!, but I also have a 4.5m carbon mast + extension + adjustable base. I have 2 booms -1 is adjustable, and the other has 2 interchangeable clew ends. Not sure of the sizes, but I'll check and get back here with details. Thanks so much for your help.
BTW, I'm well past racing, this all for pure fun for me and the kids., but i don't want to make it too difficult.

Mast details above.
2 booms- 1x 2.05-2.35 adjustable
and 1x 1.85 OR 1.7 (has 2 fixed ends)
Hope this helps.

Hey Azure
Use sales to make other bags, or a board bag for board.

I used a thin coat of 2 component clear epoxy, and painted it on my mast, as i was getting a bit itchy too, so maybe the mast is ok? Colour of mast is not an issue as its covered up anyway :)

Keep all the battons, they may be useful later if you need to replace other very stiff ones.

I agree with Sausage about sails. I am learning from my chums that for me, as a very light person, sail structure and shape have changed soooooooooooo much since the 90's.

my 1 cent worth :)
