I bought a Slingshot B6 second hand on the internet. The bar/lines that came with it are kinda lacking. Seems like the safety is missing, and lines are kinda shoddy.

Im having a hard time finding information on this kite, and the equipment that goes with it.

I would like to replace the lines/safety (No safety on it right now) for the kite. I have a bar.
Which lines should i be getting?

There are more kiters over on the kiting section to ask.

A common problem is user error.

Don't buy it! Plenty of inexpensive windsurf gear in the buy and sell section off this web site.

I'd slingshot it straight into the bin

Could someone post some similarly innocent and naive windsurfing question in the kite forum and see if those fellas have anywhere near as much comedic skill as you boys!!

Fair bit to do with intelligence I'd suggest, cos even your experienced crew make the same mistake with monotonous regularity.
Speaking of monotonous regularity, Loto......

In the mean time, they lost another kiter in the San Francisco bay area, sad, but I'm sure it won't be the last.

What a sad story. May he rest in peace. Every time I consider taking up kiting (in light winds, steady sea breezes only), stories like this pour cold water over my plans. To be fair, it seems like the guy was a newbie with bad training, launching in difficult conditions.

Glad I've had my fade with kites & survived. So many near miss's, life's too short. That story sounds very much like what happened to my buddy "Pete". I always wonder if he put his lines on back to front. Maybe the guy in USA did something like that.
