Put a new vid up on Youtube, thinking will just post any future ones to this thread.

Was last bit of footage with the America's Cup AC50's and also my classic Protech Z-26. I have recently got a Starboard Isonic 117 so guess more of my sailing will be on the new boards, though she's a lively one so still getting the handle on her!

Scottydog, ive been watching on youtube many many times. Epic location to sail amongst so many other styles of sailing craft. Nipping shrew de reefs is my virtual goto windsurf escape location. TOTALLY AWESOME

Cheers guys! Try my best, nothing too professional or anything that's going to overly distract from the sailing! My friend is planning to get one of those mast mounts for the GoPro, better with her than myself and my light spot on the top of my head!

Great vid Scotty that certainly captures the Caribbean vibe and brought back fond memories of a fun session with the crew of the "Impetus" (i.e. all three of us!) on St Lucia many, many moons ago.
Must say the gal with the big smile at the 1:30 mark looks suspiciously like my old friend (and one of Vermont's finest) Eileen M?
Good times!!!

ha ha small world eh, yeah check the credits!? Yup she's mentioned enjoying windsurfing down under some years ago! She's in quite a few of the previous vids I've done also, good sparring partner, drags me out when I'm feeling lazy!

so far we've been lucky! All those to the south do feel for them as Cat 4 / 5 hurricanes are brutal!

Our last hurricane was last year, not as bad as ones I've been in before so we were quite lucky really!

Is wearing boards over the top of the wetsuits functional for a kiter or is a cosmetic thing to do to look good ?

The main thing for kiters is to look good . Same reason cyclists have to look like there winning .

My Dakine seat harness has the sorts built in so I use the same set for slalom sailing and kiting. But yeah when I wear my waist harness for wave sailing would be weird to then but shorts on over the wetsuit. All my kite buddies do that, must be a fashion thing!

I was very close I thought I was a goner myself! It was literally an inch or water, but I kicked up the tail as hard as I could which is why the footage looks jumpy.

Back out on the water over the weekend, this time with an old buddy who after 17 years off the water pulled the trigger to get new slalom kit. It was like old times, but lucky for me I've now got a few more pounds than him so hence a bit more pace!

He purchased a 107 Starboard Futura and 6.8m NP V8. I was on my new Isonic 117 and my 7.2 NP RSS. It was a nice 15 - 18 knots I think so was a comfortable sail. His gybes were far from rusty and not sure what you call the gybe style were you swap feet after like when you do a duck gybe, but damn he just planned right out of them with speed leaving me to play catch up most of the time..... though I'm just blaming my being lazy!

A little vid from the session

Had some nice days on the new Isonic 117 and also had my first hard wipeout in years on it as in the vid below. Also had an unplanned jam session with a foiling moth, was fun and had a slight edge on the reach!
