Hi,

I am new to this forum.I am looking for jobs in Australia particularly in Perth.
I want to know how is the java job market in perth.
Are there plenty of companies there which develop applications in Java J2EE.
I am currently in India and have got my skill assessed from ACS.
I would like to shift soon to Perth.

Can any one help in this regard?
Does any one has consultant number so that i can enquire about it...

Hi shobs, why don't you post your phone number, then i can wait till you get home, have relaxed with the wife and kids and are just about to eat dinner. Then i'll call you about something totally irrelevant to your situation, lets say a windsufing or kitesurfing forum. You can then tell me that you're not interested and that it's not what you're looking for. I can then say "well our studies show that 99% of people who post on the seabreeze forum are actually interseted in watersports and not Java App Jobs". You can then abruptly hang up on me.

You'd be better off looking for Java jobs in Indonesia.

Shobs,
i work in IT and can confirm that most programming jobs get outsourced to India at the moment. It is possible that a smaller organization would be willing to sponsor you, but you should look into the appropriate place, like seek.com.au. This is a forum for hartless highly cynical windsurfers, that don't value programming skills unless used for GT-31 applications, board design or sail modelling . Wish you good luck and if you manage to land here come over for a free windsurfing lesson.
Cheers

I find this a bit excessive as most of us read the forums when we are bored. Maybe it is true that Shob has been naive in posting here, but I don't think he deserves this treatment.

True a little excessive, what about all the programmers here who can't find work because all there jobs are outsourced to other countries. All power to shobs if he wants to come here and better his life. Maybe he can come over here with his degrees and his education and not find any work in his desired field and end up working as a taxi driver in melbourne or a doctor in brisbane.

No, the only Javas are the place and the coffee. There used to be something else called "Java", but it recently got killed by an evil entity called "Oracle".
