I have just bought a 6.7 o/drive sail, luff length 464, recommended masts are 430-460.
I've got a 430 blueline that I wish to use but several options of how to go about it.
Can use my longest extension (red one in picture) or I have a 30cm mast extender that I can use with zero extension. With the zero extension I can use the one far right of picture, not a big fan of this though as the point loading is of concern. The other extension is a 30cm but wont insert fully into the mast extender so need to shorten it to fit.
Before I start cutting things any advice pros/cons of the options suggested appreciated.
Rig it and sail it on the long red extension... If that works fine then no need to cut anything. If it doesn't rig right, then look at your other options.
Hey mate - I think you'll find that OD has a luff of 447...so you only need 17cms extension.
My bad, when I googled 2012 overdrive the sight gave me luff 464 and boom 190 bla bla, cant seem to find Severnes 2012 specs.
