Mast extension stuck in mast

I got it undone by doing this. It was impossible to twist off so soaked overnight in water and detergent and attached the mast extension to a steel bar in the form of my bench press then twisted it off. Next time out I will give the mast extension a light coat of detergent. If it was tighter I would just put more wraps around and attach boom as well to help with the twist.

next time make sure no sand is inside the mast when rigging and if stuck tie the mast extension to a tree and yank it quickly you'll be amazed how fast it will come off
