Had an unreal time in Maui. Thanks to all of you who gave me advice. I would like to pass some back to other people who are heading Maui and looking for good accommodation.
My wife and I rented the downstairs part of Tony and Karen Notley's house. It was great. A beautiful place, so comfortable and relaxing to stay at. My wife loved it and wants to go back again, which is even better!
The property is 10 minutes drive up the hills from Hooakipa. There is a supermarket and restaurant a short drive around the corner from the home to stock up with what you need.
Everything you need is in the house. Fully equipped kitchen, beautiful bed with lovely soft sheets and towels. Large TV with Netflix and a million other channels. Outdoor spa and shower .All so relaxing and comfortable after a great day's sailing.
We hired Tony's big van which fits so much gear in so easily.
There was so many things to do on Maui, we ran out of time. Look forward to going back again.
It was great having a beer with Tony and Karen on the couple of times we saw them. Tony is an Aussie who has lived in Maui for years. If i ever had any questions they were so helpful.
It really made the holiday even better when you're staying at a good place and at a good price.
Two bedroom house $120 US a night.
If you can organize Tony's van it was $30 US a day.

I have a video of the place but it is not uploading here, maybe it's to big.
