Repaired Boom

Super team effort from Budgie team members Matty D and Mehore to repair my small boom it's our test model for the future. We put a carbon tube wrapped with fibreglass then had 3 3 layers of carbon sock.
We are hopeing for a successful result.

Good luck , I hope it works for if I ever break a carbon boom . Just a little niggling mindset when far from shore. Would love a six month hard use review ! As an engineer ........ ( I got flack for saying that last time ) , over engineering would have to win

Read years ago of guys sailing in Alaska bound tether from one side to other in case of breakage can still make it back to shore, might be worth trying if you worried of boom snapping after repair.

I do similar thing - Drink 4 xxxx gold before I do anything with fibreglass!

Sorry to say this but it was the shore I was going to fast to close!? But I'm learning ??
