Has anyone attached a Surf7 SharkShield to a windsurfing board? The question has been asked before but no one has actually answered it!

Not looking for stats, I'm looking for information on board performance, photos etc.

Thoughts go out to the young guy's family & friends down south.

I know someone who has done it however don't think they use these forums. From what I heard its fairly heavy (although website says only 67 grams) so I think you would definitely notice it if it was at the tail of the board. The tail thing would make it feel heavy I reckon.

Its a good idea but more suited to surfing, windsurfing I think it would get wrapped around during a crash/waterstart or jumping etc.

You are right they do not work if:
1. Not turned on
2. Batteries are flat
3. Left on the boat
4. Not totally in water
And I would not wear one wind surfing cause the tail would come back at you and sting you also would be working only when in the water. Needs 2 electrodes submerged. But very good for diving.

I know a local guy who bought one from the local dive shop & tried it - the line drag caused issues as if it was weed caught on the fin...

...so he decided to wrap it around his leg!!!

It still makes me laugh, not so much that it zapped him, but that he actually admitted to doing it!
