Quick question
On a sail It says Mast , boom and luff
What is luff
Question 2
When looking at secondhand gear online Mast rrd or similar what is rrd or srd that is stated

Luff is the length of the sail, so if you deduct "mast" from "luff" you get the length of the mast extension you need to rig the sail correctly.

rd = reduced diameter, or those newish skinny narrow masts. sd = standard diameter or the things that have been around from last century.

Luff is the measurement of the mast + extension.
So a luff length of 417 means use a 400 mast and extension set to 17cm +/- 1 or 2cms.

RRD or RDM / SRD or SDM refers to the diameter of the mast.
RRD - reduced
SRD - standard
