I am refurbishing a couple of boards to be loaners, trouble with new ish wave boards is the cost of fin sets.
Even secondhand ones. When they are destined to be rarely used, or used by others, I'm not gonna stick a $200 set in...and buy 3 sets.....
Anyway so I am chasing damaged quad sets, predominantly the main fins as they are the ones that smack the rocks..... or yes, in my case the garage roof
Preference for 13-15cm fins in slot or US box, but will consider whole quad sets and other bases as I can rebox them
Cheap is main idea......
That kind of stupid wreck is totally doable
If it is resin based and not plastic , we can rebuild , like the six million dollar man
15cm fins , what is that ?
Im complaining dragging 40 ,Usallly 50+
Whats with the mini fins Mark , are u trying to float past Areas rock in rainy season ?
Ulla rooo for the young
Here is one that got snapped down the beach while I was putting more outhaul on, 30 knots plus,. I knew I had the sail pointing in the wrong direction but just had to get back out there quick, silly silly,as the sail caught the wind and whole kit straight over my head ,broken fin ,and the end was no where to be seen.
Relic, cut an old fin up ,shaped it and joined strong as, .
My level of sailing can't notice anything, good job Relic.
