Hi, here is a little video clip about my new windskate board, the Scorpion. I really like this sport! A little further every years...

Have fun! :)

My mission this summer is to build one but make it so it drives on grass across the oval in my local park. So I have something for when I can't make it to the beach

I tried that bought a off-road skateboard that had suspension for $20 at markets . It worked going down a steep hill very slowly so I put wheels on a long board they are about 100mm diameter but being solid they get bogged down in grass I'm thinking that you would need at least 200mm &inflatable tyres but still its hard to overcome the friction of the soft grass because you want to be on flat ground maybe small bicycle wheels . But if the bogans smash heaps of glass its great just grinds it down . But it gets the death wobbles at any decent speed .let us know how you go .

I've thought about the resistance and have ID'd some 300mm wheels to maintain some consistent roll. They're nylon with rubber tread so should be ok for the carpark and other hard surfaces too. I have read that one needs to be careful with the inflatables rolling off the rims. Perhaps they were crap wheels or under-inflated. I guess i'll need to R&D for my local area(s) to see what suits. Not sure if weight of the wheels would be an issue. But yeah sure i'll be posting my build with successes and failures.

Hope my home maintenance doesn't get away from me

Hi Guys, a bigger skate with bigger wheels also work but because of the friction it need a bigger sail or more wind.

The weight of the skate also matter. Have fun doing some sailing on land, were you wont need to practice swimming! :)
