Hi all,

I need to move by Wednesday and found an apartment in mosman park.

For the purpose of this topic the main advantage is the closeness to the beach!!!

The problem is that it is quite small (not much storage space) and at the 7th floor, + the board wont fit in the elevator....

2 solutions:

- harden the f#*k up, move there and use the stairs
- crash at a friends place before finding something better = moving twice...+ go through all the bull sh%t needed to rent a decent place..

What do u rekon and why?

Two other options that will involve spending money.

1. Buy a van and keep your gear in it all the time.

2. Hire some storage space at somewhere like National Storage or Kennards Storage. Maybe WA has local equivalents.

option 3... hand it in anonymously to the police as stolen gear then when u want to go sailing go and collect it!

Make friends with someone who lives on the ground floor.

Where do you normally sail?
If you like the place Id say use the stairs. Im guessing all your other gear fits in the lift?
You will also more than likely find that you will get fitter by using the stairs? You could probably count it as a warm up before you go for a sail?
And how often do you sail? Once, twice or three times a week? More?
Personaly I hate apartments Im just so glad I have my own home 2 minutes from the beach. Wanna swap hehehe

Do you have a balconey? Pull it up with a rope and keep on balconey.

Third option or is it sixth
take a circular saw to the pointy end until it fits in the lift

If you live near fremantle and have a room for rent i'm taking!!! I dont sail very often these days, working 9-10hrs/day, but every possible time is good. I will also sail a lot more if i live close to the beach!

I thought about that!!! Another way to keep fit

I'll take the gear and try out the "track" before I commit to anything. Cheers for all the feedback!

Folding boards would be very useful wouldn't they?
You could have some kind of locking hinge arrangement...

...or take a circular saw to the lift and call it an inspection hole. just make sure it's the roof not the floor.

Have a good look at the ceiling in the elevator.
They often have false ceilings and or inspection holes.
You might be able to lift it up and get the tip of your board through it.
Just do a test run to the top floor with it open to check how close to the actual roof structure it goes !
