Virtually the whole estuary!!!
But Avalon Bay isn't too bad, especially early before it gets too strong.
Launch at the Northern carpark, the southern end is in a wind shadow and air is much too turbulent for learning. Teach her turn to around and sail back in first, you can stand out on the reef, but she probably doesn't want to go that far, there are shallow spots less than fin deep.
I've taught a few people out here without a problem.

If you opt for the estuary use a weed fin, and she'll probably appreciate booties, saves worrying about crabs and cobblers.
Novara is where we normally speed sail from, it's got a good grassed rigging area and is standable a fair way out. But if it's low tide, you'll also have to wade a fair way before it's deep enough.
The plastic poles in the water mark rocky areas, keep clear of them.
