Posted in the wave sailing section already
Wind is cranking through up this way.
Hit the water at mid-day and sailed for a good few hours with a 5.4 before it started smoking in later this arvo.
No swell to speak of but there are signs it is on the way....

well I am currently in Berlin... and the only thing cranking was Rage Against the Machine last Tuesday night. Plenty jealous though... looks like like NSW will get some decent wind and swell this weekend.

Have fun guys!

Status update - cross on to full on on-shore and MASSIVE
Mast high and bigger on the sets... too big and out of control for the likes of me

Kev- Checked out Toowoon Bay this arvo and it was huge. Tomorrow could be interesting if the wind swings more south. The car is already packed too go and keen as mustard to get out. Have'nt been out for two months due to work. Must make it count as we are expecting bub No2 in December. Could even miss Mambo this year.
Cheers

No doubt 1/2 knot Myers will be out there all day with you Dean.
Wanda was definately sailable yesterday morning but with no one out and the flu lingering I took the easy option - tele and a warm loungeroom

Still got a bit of west in it and very very gusty up this way...
The swell is humongous... One Mile point was a sight to behold yesterday arvo.
Glovey and I had a quick recee of the Bay yesterday... the swell was starting to push into Nelson Bay itself through the heads. On my way to check it out now as the sand bars should be reeling off at apporx 4 - 6 foot and cross off in this wind direction.
Only real issue is th current sweeping back out with the gusty wind.
Super windy during the rain showers and then backing off to sub 10 knots... will keep watching it.

Hey Deano congrats to you and Leanne, looking forward to catching up for a beer/sail real soon

Kev

- Birubi heavy duty wash cycle

- One Mile starting to peel... rogue sets are breaking way out back about 400m out from the point and thundering through to middle rock
Still watching and waiting !
