I'm wondering - has anyone else developed a lump on top of either foot, half way along approx, above the arch, above the bones that run to the 3 small toes, from footstraps?
I've heard freestylers in particular mention it occasionally, from tight straps (well, not so tight you toes don't show, but not so loose that the foot doesn't fully go in). Anyway, I got one last summer and its veeery slowly going down, but only just. Straps will be looser and narrower this summer - meantime, has anyone else experienced that, and did the lump resolve itself/go away, eventually?
cheers, alex
Soft fluid filled or hard? Soft could be a ganglion cyst which can be bad, took two surgeries on mine and I have a scar nearly 5 inches long on my arch.
Looks akin to surfer's knot.
If it's soft, you might need it drained, allowing 2 weeks to heal.
If it's cartilege, then it's surfer's knot, a badge of courage and something that used to get you out of the US Army during the Vietnam Police action.
Agree with Beaglebuddy, be it cyst or some sort of abcess, you need someone to remove the collection inside otherwise it won't go away on its own.
If you get it removed now yo should be ready for summer.
