Didn't like the song that much before do now - went well with that rather manic freestyle clip - i wanna go sailin now
not great for speed sailing kato, not long enough strips, most of that footage was taken from baby bay (the little inlet up from the big reef at the bottom.. we have heaps of 09 mantas in 63, 86, 100 and 110.... i took the 63 out once and went out to open sea and did some forwards.. hasnt been used since..
also I am running with my 16cm humpback whale fin!
It gets a bit choppy out there.
Barney, what's the wind like this time of year? I've only been there once, and it was in September/October, and the wind was a bit gusty and hit and miss.
The wind would start early in the morning (hours before the hire places opened at 9am!), but it often stopped at around 2pm.
I liked the place, but I was hoping that another time of the year would be a bit better?
I saw quite a few instructors doing freestyle tricks in the lagoon when I was there. Pretty impressive!
love the fin does it work? Maby I should do that with my tabou freestyle fin (never seem to use it for freestyle way to long).
nova the wind is statistically best april-july and sept-oct but its windy year round just sometimes there will be a week without wind (time to shape some fins(
we use windguru if anyone wants to check the wind, the modified forcast shoots a little high but i will be on my 4.2 from saturday onwards! on this forcast it will blow all day and night.

yes kato the fin works great and the bumps are for grip. helps when i take my fin out, and store it in my custom perspex moulded vacume fin capsule..

Impressive mate! It's so cool to see you pulling off such great combos. You're on fire! Made me feel like pushing a bit harder too – I know it's going to hurt trying those moves! I needed the inspiration though! I've spent most of this summer walking Alex upwind! It's paid off though – he's planning, in the harness and straps (and he's only 7)!
By the way, I liked your hump-back whale fin (even though it has BARNEcle damage)..
What are your plans for this summer? Wondering if we might be able to catch up (we're leaving for Greece next week and will be there till October). Will you be going to Vass at all?
Keep on ripping! Can't wait to see what's next!
